Im using the gateway and session host roles on the same server.I can publish an app like the calculator and it works perfectly. The gateway server is pretty new to me, so Im trying to figure out the best way to provide RDP access to the session host.I was trying to publish the mstsc app, but I think that may be redundant as I can see that when I run a remote-app, it creates a session on the RDP server already, so why would I then use the app to connect back to itself Ive also been able to manually configure an RDP file with the gateway server settings and connect internally and externally with that rdp file.
![]() Microsoft Remote Desktop Web Client Full RDP SessionI want people to be able to have a full RDP session, not the remoteapps. Microsoft Remote Desktop Web Client How To Enter InI would really rather have people connect from the web browser, than getting each and every user to figure out how to enter in the rdp settings required. I know that IE used to have a tab for remotely connecting to computers, but I dont want to use IE for obvious reasons, and it doesnt work anyway since Im using an alternate port for external access. Microsoft Remote Desktop Web Client Install A NewSo youd need to remove the RemoteApp session host and install a new one for full desktop. If not, try running sfcscannow form an elevated command prompt. Personally, I prefer RemoteApp as I think the end user finds it easier to just click an icon and have an app open, but it really does depend on your environment and what you are trying to accomplish. I may end up going the route of remoteapp, but are there any other options to get the users connected to the full RDP session by going through the web portal.
